Shangkar and I woke up as early as 8.00am.
Breakfast was provided by the motel.
The buffet spread was very basic i.e fried noodles, fried rice and bread (we had no complaints about the breakfast as it was infact a blessing to have breakfast included for a room as low as RM65 per day).
It was a clear day and the weather was just fine for some water activity.
So we headed for the Island Hopping. The price was at RM35 per person.
We took our boat from the pier below.
In the speedboat whilst waiting for the boat to take off.
Arriving at the Dayang Bunting Island.
There was paddle boats for rentals and we took one.
The view from our paddle boat.
This patrons (above) was seen dipping their feet in the lake for a fish massage.
The island is also home to a lot of wild animals.
Eagle Feeding.
The second island was 'Pulau Beras Basah' (The Island of Wet Rice). The beautiful white sandy beach is picture perfect and breathtaking.
There are very basic facilities available here like a small soft drinks small and toilet.
Lunch at a Thai Restaurant at Kuah Town.
Chocolate Feast.
A small museum about 'Mahsuri' the legend of Langkawi. This was an old story repeated too many times during my childhood and it almost got forgotten until i set my foot for the first time in the museum.
Wan Aishah (lineage to Mahsuri). The Seventh generation. The images below was recaptured from the wall posters seen in the said museum.
Mahsuri’s Tomb - or Makam Mahsuri - is a shrine to one of the most beautiful women to have ever lived on Langkawi.
Teng-Teng.
Mahsuri's well. It was believed that the water is 'fountain of youth'.
Dinner at Telaga Harbour again. We seated here for hours chatting and laughing about my buddy's past romance life.
We sat here too long, past the closure time until we were politely asked to leave the place.
The next stop was at 'Sunba'. The live band here was superb and the place was famous amongst the whites.
Had more beers. Left the place at 3.00 am in the morning.
End.
