Pangkor Laut Resort | One Island One Resort

Pangkor Laut Resort

Day 1

We visited the island in the mid December of 2012. It took us almost four hours of drive to reach Marina Jetty from Kuala Lumpur. Upon reaching the Jetty, we parked our car right across the Jetty.

Pangkor Laut Office

At their office we were served with a welcome drink and cold towel to freshen up whilst waiting for the check in procedure. Our luggages were tagged and arranged to be send to our room.

At the lounge

Our speed boat was scheduled at 1.00pm. The boat ride to Pangkor Laut Resort ('PLR') took less than 15 minutes.

The speedboat was fairly small.

Upon reaching the PLR, we were again served with their wet towel and cold drink to refresh ourselves.

At the lobby, we met with Ms. Anne who gave us a quick tour around the island before taking us to our room.

We took their Garden Villa (room no. 317) with meal package included.

Our Room

There was peacocks roaming freely everywhere of the villa. It seemed like a real garden with peacocks.

A small Patio

The Open Bath Tub

We choosed their Royal Bay Beach Club for our lunch. The Royal Bay Beach Club overlooks the infinity pool. We ordered western food and the food was delicious.

For dinner, we made a reservation at their Feast Village and we were served with international buffet with a fairly good spread.

Day 2

We had our breakfast at the Feast Village. It was international buffet breakfast. The food was fresh and tasty.

For lunch, we decided to take their shuttle service to Chapman's Bar at Emerald Bay. Shuttle service is available every 15 minutes.

At Chapman's Bar

The food here was average and nothing to shout about. Some local dishes like deep fried fish can be found here.

Having said the above, i would still strongly recommend one not to miss the place because taking a sip of wine with lovely sea breeze washing your face occasionally and your toes burried in white sandy beach was just amazing.

The Beautiful Emerald Beach

After our lunch, patiently waiting for the jeep to take us back to our room.

At their infinity pool

Dinner was  at Uncle Lim's and the food there was really good and by far the best in the PLR.

This time we decided to walk to Uncle Lim's and here are some photos taken on our way.

The Water Chalet

As i'm writing this post now, we really miss this place so much and wanting to return again to this small slice of heaven.
