Sg Palas Tea Plantation | Cameron Highlands

Sg. Palas Tea Plantation

Sg. Palas Tea Plantation is about 3KM off the main road. The road was very narrow (just enough for one car) and winding. The trip to Sg Palas was very challenging especially in giving way to oncoming traffic from opposite direction.

The scenery at the Tea Center was simply breathtaking and picture perfect.

The Boh's Tea House is perched on top of a hill overlooking the valley. From the foot of the hill, the tea house looked as if it was partly hanging in the air.

We ordered 'Teh Tarik', 'Scones and Iced Lemon Tea. All of them were really good and we will definitely come back again.

The view from the Tea House

There is also a small tea factory within the compound.

Raju Hill Strawberry Farm | Cameron Highlands

Raju Hill Strawberry Farm

Raju's strawberry farm is located on a hill just opposite Equatorial Hotel.

It's one of first and the most famous strawberry park in Cameron Highlands.

During our visit, we met Mr. Raju (the owner) and he took his time to explain to us about the berry industry & cultivation in CH, he is such a humble & friendly person.

Butterfly Park | Cameron Highlands

Fly Like A Butterfly & Sting Like A Bee

The Butterfly Park is situated at Brinchang. The entrance fee for adults at RM5 and Children at RM3.

The park is divided into three (3) sections namely the fist section contains butterflies and insects, the second section contains the local plants and the third section was a small insect & butterfly  museum.

As soon as we get into the park, my little daughter was frightened and started crying looking at the free flying butterflies. So we took a quick tour and left the place in less than 10 minutes.

There were not many species of butterflies in the park and the most saddest thing was there were a lot of dead butterflies everywhere.

Equatorial | Cameron Highlands

19.4.2013

We stayed at Equatorial @ Brinchang. The hotel is situated along the main road near Raju's strawberry Park. With the massive ongoing developments in Cameron Highlands, the climate is not as chilling as before and slightly warmer.

The hotel was fully booked and crowded as it was a public holiday in Perak.

Our room

Our room was facing the farm and the view was not impressive at all.

By evening the whole place was surrounded with heavy mist.

Night view from our room

We took our dinner and breakfast at their coffe house.  For Dinner we ordered Bamboo Fried Rice, and it was really good. It comes with crackers, fried chicken, salad, pickles and satay.

Bamboo Fried Rice

The breakfast buffet was only so so and not up to the par of a 4 star hotel.
